This steel guitar belonged to Merlin Goertz, one of the four original Rockne Playboys. Buford Catchings, Alois Beck and Otto Goertz where the other three original members of the band.

Merlin played this steel guitar for the last time on October 11, 1987, at the Peter and Mary Goertz Family Reunion.

The Rockne Junge Herzen Saengers, a group of German singers organized in 1986 by Ruby Hendrix.

The group first performed at the Sacred Heart Spring Festival on May 25, 1986.

Rev. Alois J Goertz stated in his book "Rockne", "It reminds me of my childhood when we heard a lot of German singing, both at church and at social gatherings."

Rockne native, Logan Tucker, won first place in the 34th Annual Country Showdown at Firehouse Saloon in Houston in 2016.

Tucker has been writing songs and performing since high school, drawing crowds at local dance halls with his authentic country sound and memorable, original lyrics. 

He now resides in Nashville.
